Yixing Agriculture
Yixing has a pleasant weather and the fertile soil. It was blessed with favorable natural conditions so as to be called "land of abundance" along the Shore of Taihu Lake. In recent years, the development of agriculture has appeared a pattern of being diversified, qualified and industrialized for the increasing investments. A chain has been gradually formed in the city with more than 10 serial processing business, involving production, supply and sales of gain and edible oil, bamboo, vegetable, tea, silkworm and mulberry, and aquatic products etc. So far, in the whole city, there are 70-plus of above-mentioned production bases with a big scale of 1,000 mu, 30-odd of enterprises engaged in processing agricultural & sideline products with sales income of 10 million yuan, and 13 markets for trading agricultural & sideline products, each with business volume of over 10 million yuan, and 8 big categories with more than 100 varieties of agricultural & sideline products have been sold at home and abroad. Modern agriculture, high-efficient agriculture and sightseeing ecologic agriculture grow vigorously while a collection of demonstration parks such as Wuxi Taihu export-oriented agriculture park have been completed.
